Summary

This is a project for schooling the “schooless” children of Dargai (Malakand District). Most of these children are war and/or flood affectees who have discontinued their formal education. There is no government institute in the region operating to accommodate these extremely poor and vulnerable children.

A local association Sabawon has taken the initiative by establishing a catch-up class system to accommodate 50 of such children and providing free education facility.  The association will hire one teacher for running the primary class for approximately 300 days of the year.  In case of unavailability of further funds after the project duration, the enrolled students will be assisted in getting middle level education in the public sector schools where possible.

The total cost of running the project is estimated around 2.6 lacs PKR for one year that includes rent for school building, teacher fees, books and stationary.
APPEC has signed MoU with Sabawon to establish this school by means of financial support. Please join us in completing this project so that these children would prove to be a valuable asset of our nation.
