A poor female relative was charred by fire in January, died four weeks later in a life-and-death struggle at Burn Unit Kharian. She got married two years ago and left behind a three-month-old baby girl. His husband is a security guard in a private company.
After being burnt, she was taken to Khariyan burn unit. The cost there was very high. But his condition was not such that he could be brought to any other hospital. Dr. Saeed Ashraf was also in touch with them but her condition was not allowing to be brought to Faisalabad where she would get free treatment.
The deceased’s husband spent on treatment everything he had. A lot of debt was also incurred and the life of the deceased could not be saved. A total of about twenty lac was spent. He sold the only property he has and got 4 lac. Still he has to pay about 6-8 lacs. Not much, but I will request that we all help them with one to two lakhs so that along with the burial, the debt that has to be paid immediately will be helped. I and my brothers, will also help as much as I can from our side as well.
